As a new year begins, TSLL is kicking off a new limited series running weekly throughout 2026 to provide a guide for establishing meditation in your daily routine. At the heart of living a life of contentment, which rests at the foundation of living a simply luxurious life, is the requirement that we be present in our everydays. And we can only be fully present if we are comfortable with our own company, whether with others or on our own, because our mind is with us wherever we go and while doing whatever we do. 

The mindfulness practice of meditation is a skill we can all learn, and when we understand how to do it properly, we begin to see the life-elevating benefits – peace, joy, happiness, and freedom. 

Life begins to open up when we stop forcing it to be what we want it to be. Meditation helps us let go, see clearly, and understand what and how we need to heal. So long as we don’t understand why we are suffering, we will create more unnecessary suffering for ourselves and others. Meditation helps us understand, not only how to be more loving toward ourselves, but also toward the rest of the world. 

And here is the beautiful part – Meditation is simply sitting down and witnessing the mind as it is. That’s it. 

Each Sunday afternoon, a new episode lasting no more than 5 minutes will be available. We will begin with a guiding idea and then settle into meditating together for 3-5 minutes. You will be encouraged to meditate each day. How you choose to do that is up to you in between our weekly sessions. You can find each Moment of Meditation here on the blog – The Simply Luxurious Life, or by subscribing to The Simple Sophisticate podcast wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

We will begin on Sunday, January 4th. Until then, bonne année!
