Our sanctuaries, when thoughtfully decorated, tidily kept, give us so much more than shelter and warmth.
From creativity and calm, to invigorating inspiration, as well as a warm hug upon returning home whether from a full day of work or a long trip abroad, our sanctuaries take time, but the time we give to this cultivation is well worth it.
This past year brought with it the conclusion of my three and a half year journey of customizations, and it won’t surprise you to hear that I am ready for it to be done, but I am also oh so very grateful to have had the opportunity to do and invest in all that I did which deepens the gratitude and appreciation that I have and carry with me each day moving forward.
Because of that, there were many detailed posts during the first eight months of the year, and also why I include six rather than five top posts because of the abundance of engagement with each one.
Rest assured, I still have projects I look forward to diving into in the coming months and years, but none as intensive as working with a contractor or decorator. I do hope you found inspiration, guidance, and ideas of any kind in the posts shared this year and throughout the journey, and look for a detailed tour of the kitchen in January as since I posted the original debut of the remodeled version, many new decor details have been added and I will be taking you back and showing you everything.
