Earlier this week, with the freshly fallen snow, it felt as though winter had already arrived, which is when the above photo was taken, but Mother Nature has corrected herself and all the snow in town is now melted as the temperatures increased a bit with winds blowing in a rainstorm that fits November, giving us all time to savor the month before the final one arrives.

November, especially the first three weeks, continues to offer some of my favorite moments of the holiday season because there is a hushed calm, time to anticipate, but not rush, time to give ourselves breathing room to make decisions and set plans that help to ensure a most enjoyable holiday season.

The holiday season need not include presents or gifts, but rather intention to savor, appreciate and revel in this time we have the opportunity once each twelve months to celebrate gathering, giving and extending gratitude.

TSLL’s Annual Holiday Gift Guide leans heavily toward gifts chosen for those who enjoy the French ?? and British ?? cultures as well as luxurious finds, but most of the finds shared below are gifts you can add to your approach to celebrating the holidays leading up to the big official dates on the calendar by making the everyday moments something special – from decorating the home, especially the tree, selecting an advent calendar to enjoy each day leading up to Christmas in your own way, ideas for clothing that keeps you (and your pets) warm and stylish as well as gifts for staying organized simply yet stylishly while making your way through the airport terminals to your travel destination.

While I have gathered more than 40 items for today’s Holiday Gift Guide, look for weekly finds over the coming weeks in the weekly This & That post as well which is posted each Friday right here on TSLL blog. Also, be sure to peruse previous year’s Holiday Gift Guides shared here on TSLL because many of those items are still available and most are also for the Francophile and Anglophile.

Just below is a short table of contents of sorts to let you know what you will find as you begin to scroll.

  1. Pure bliss! Thank you for all the time and effort you put in to creating this enjoyable experience to savour. Terrific way to start the day with a favorite mug of wam beverage of choice (coffee/tea/water with lemon/etc). As you so often remind, the chance to daydream and explore provides a wonderful lift to the day.

Thank you, especially, for the wide range of price points and items. It warms my heart to think of the people and pups who will enjoy the items. That’s a wonderful gift to community members. As is the daydreaming about items we can save our pennies for. 🙂

Thank you for the prose, photos, purchaseable items – and a heartwarming start to the holiday season. Strikes a chord of the quiet (punctuated by moments of delight and reveling with family/friends), relished holiday season of the books you’ve previously shared (Calm Holidays?).

This has been a thoroughly enjoyable week on the blog with the TSLL community – much content to return to. Thank you seems woefully insufficient, but, there you have it — a sincere thank you from the bottom our my (dare I say our) hearts.

May you, Norman, Little One, and all the TSLL members have a terrific week.

    1. Thank you, have a good weekend and a great week ahead – and you can absolutely include my heart on that thank you to Shannon! TSLL is a great space to be. 🙂

  2. Thank you for a delightful gift guide Shannon. I already have my Bonne Maman advent calendar in my cupboard, and my croissants and pain au chocolat in my freezer. Now I am just having to wait patiently until December 1st!
The heat is beginning to rise in Brisbane, Australia, so it is always welcoming to read your posts mentioning the snow and and seasonal changes in Bend. Enjoy these weeks of November.

    1. Sarah,

The Bonne Maman calendar sounds to be a sweet treat each day. ☺️ And I have to remind myself that the holidays arrive in the middle of summer in the Southern Hemisphere. I think that would be quite lovely too. ☺️ Wishing you a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by today.

  3. Shannon just exquisite the entire list. I always like a Trudon candle at Xmas and anything fom L’Occitane and Fortnum.and Mason’s would just be so appreciated. Thank you . Now off to leave hints for Father Xmas ?

  4. Thank you Shannon……..so many lovely things to explore, and I will come back to the post again when I have more time to explore it fully.
What a lovely way to start the week .
I had to smile when I saw the little tea tray ornament, and the fortnums hamper one ?
If I had seen those in a store , you would have instantly sprung to mind ? they look so ‘you ‘?
Norman and Nelle look so relaxed and comfortable, and your reading nook chair, cuppa and magazine so inviting , I’m sure you will have savoured it all .
Did you have music playing as well, I wonder ?…….and maybe a candle flickering softly in the background ?

Have a great week, and thank you for all the posts everyone , I’m a bit behind reading them all at the moment, but will catch up soon ?

    1. Don’t berate yourself Anne, I too am woefully behind this week. I didn’t used to be such a laggard(I don’t think…?)!
Wishing you a lovely rest of the week?

  5. Wow, those fabulous crimson embroidered Birdies?! Those alone would spur me to expand my social calendar–wouldn’t they look fantastic with a velvet Le Tuxedo?!?
And absolutely any of the advent calendars would be gratefully welcomed..well, would have to switch out the doggie one as my cats would perhaps not appreciate those particular delectables.
And I ADORE the mushroom ornament and the wee little tea set and the adorable teeny little Fortnum & Mason hamper!
And gosh, I wish that lovely seed advent calendar, or something akin to it, was available in the States, so perfect.
So many lovely things to peruse and ponder, fabulous list Shannon, thank you!✨??

  6. Such wonderful gift suggestion, especially the advent calendars! I already received my daughters advent calendars which you suggested from The White Company. Already the girls have peaked at the goodies which they will receive in December. They even asked to start using the calendar now. The quality and size of the products are impeccable. The candles smell divine. Thanks so much , Shannon for suggested these products. You out did yourself. Bravo!

  7. Shannon, a box of delights! I have several Roberts radios around the house and they are brilliant. I’ll be browsing your suggestions. Thanks

    1. Nicola,

Thank you for sharing your experience with these radios. I was immediately drawn to them after learning about them from Ben Pentreath shared he has one while I read his English decor book. I immediately went to look up what exactly a Robert’s radio was and why it was so beloved. Tickled to have learned about them. ?

  8. Some lovely ideas here.. for loved ones and for moi!
Love the Fortnums decorations and the wool baseball cap.
Highly recommend a Roberts Radio. I have one and it’s my morning company when working at home or pottering around the house at the weekend ?
Thank you for putting the time in to collate this for us!
    Sarah

  9. After a more detailed perusal, here are my favourites:

-Nuxe Beauty Advent Calendar – this is brand that I am interested in exploring further on 2023,

    – the wool baseball cap and the beanies – it is truly difficult to find something elegant when it comes to more sportive head gear:

    – For the Birds project – how interesting.

I don’t do a Christmas tree but these ornaments are so cute – I especially liked the little hamper from F & M. Might have to start doing a Christmas tree after all…

I will now go to write my letter to Father Christmas 😉

    Thank you, Shannon. 🙂
