As we step into the month of May, bank holidays and long weekends abound. From Memorial Day weekend here in the states that unofficially marks the start of summer or the many bank holidays in Britain and continental Europe, how fortunate are we to have a beautiful month and oodles of time off to do as we most enjoy.

Inspired by this annual occasion, I have styled three outfits for whatever you might be doing that while casual and relaxed will still be stylishly attired. From all white ensembles pairing various textures and a touch of color or navy stripe, to an everyday ensemble with a touch of pink peony hue as maybe you visit the Chelsea Flower Show or the local farmers’ market.

And of course, there are three books, one for each outfit and two will be released soon and one is now available. One of the soon-to-be-released titles is from SJP’s imprint and I cannot wait to read it come autumn and think you might as well want to peek at the synopsis.

Now to start perusing and perhaps adding a piece or two to fill the gaps and ensure a stylish and comfortable month of May and into summer will be at the ready in your closet to wear when the occasion presents itself.

  1. Excellent inspiration and perfect timing, Shannon. Temps are 90F+/32C+ for the next few days– and the linen has officially been welcomed back into the closet! On the lookout now for a lightweight cotton navy & white pin-striped button-up to replace a much-loved and worn out favorite. Allons-y!🌞

      1. What a lovely cardi, thank you Shannon, so sweet of you to help me forage! I’ve looked at J Crew & Banana Republic–haven’t you mentioned Suzane for a good striped button-down before? Anyhoo, many thanks for the links, I’ll be keeping my eye on both of those pieces. Remind me please, is Karma your favorite app to help watch for sales?

        1. Yeah! And oh my I completely errored thinking it was a cardigan not a button-up you were looking for. 🙂 The top looks perfect! Thank you for sharing with us all. 🙂

          1. You are welcome! And I’m very happy you sent those my way, keeping them on my radar for (our very mild!) F/W😊

  2. I love a book for each outfit!!!
Also – unrelated to this post, I am LOVING Etoile ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and getting nothing done around the house!
    Merci beaucoup!
