For some reason when the holidays come around, I can’t help but enjoy listening to classic holiday tunes. Whether it’s a traditional artist such as Nat King Cole singing “Chestnuts Roasting by the Fire” (actual song title “The Christmas Song”) or a new rendition by Cee Lo Green of a classic jingle, I feel a lift in my holiday spirit and a smile emerge on my face.

As I’ve been planning and organizing my annual Christmas Eve soiree for my family this year, I wanted to come up with a playlist that was full of my favorite tunes and kept in mind my predilection for jazz but also included a few modern voices intertwined with the talents of the Rat Pack and Andy Williams. Perhaps you too are organizing a gathering of friends and family and are looking for that one particular song to complete your playlist that will fill the house and set a festive and welcoming mood.
