A strong and savvy trend this fall season is the addition of statement colors paired with trusted neutrals. From cobalt blue, deep reds and vivid greens, when you know what color complements your skin tone, choose to invest, and then welcome the neutrals you already have in your wardrobe.

Today I have brought together an outfit that incorporates a classic style of jumper (v-neck) with straight-leg pants in khaki with a slight texture perfect for autumn ensembles. Lifting the heels a bit with 2-2.5 inch pumps in the same hue as the pant, the leg becomes elongated, and with an essential French accessory – the delicate gold necklace – this outfit is complete and quietly elegant. Oh! Don’t forget a medium-size belt, but nothing flashy, only necessary and in a slightly darker hue than the pant. Throw a rich brown tote of over your shoulder, and your style is set for work, travel or an errand about town knowing you look your best, and comfortably so.

Also, a new scent from Diptyque, their 34 Boulevard Saint Germain candle has a blend of both woody and floral scents. Described as “fresh, green and distinctive notes of moss and crushed blackcurrant leaves that mingle with floral notes, enhanced by spices and underscored by the richness and warmth of woods and balms”. Ideal for the coming cozy seasons as we begin to spend more time inside.

  1. This outfit of the month is one of my favourites… those Manolo’s and Reiss is one of my favourite brands. I have a similar wool coat I purchased from them a couple of years ago in grey. Thank you for introducing me to Stone And Strand, I love delicate gold jewellery and that necklace has been added to my list.
The large ceramic Diptyque candles are beautiful to look at.
