With summer just a few short weeks away, it’s time to get comfortable and bring the style.

From light layers to oversized items sharpened up with trim pairings, the accessories are timeless yet confident, and the books involve just released, soon to be released and long ago released.

Have fun playing with mix and match ideas, and note that many items are on sale (or soon will be, I have a feeling ?).

Happy shopping!

  1. Good afternoon Shannon. Nice selection of Summer separates to add to our wardrobe. I do need to replace my blue tailored shirt, it has gone rather limp with repeated washing. While this one is much like what I want that price is a bit high for me. I did order The Memory of Lavender and Sage. It called to me as soon as I saw it, I spent yesterday afternoon at the local garden center where both plants were displayed in a little vignette with a topiary. I enjoy my evenings on my porch with my bathing birds, flowers, herbs, and my Lola with a good book. My current light read is Evergreen by Lydia Millen. It is a charming little look by this young lifestyle vlogger into her life and how appreciating nature and the seasonal changes in her part of the UK has essentially defined her life. My “light” reading is a luxury that I permit during summer more than other times. Thank You, I hope your week is flowing as you wish, and know that I appreciate your suggestions and insight.

      1. Oh, Shannon what a perfect shirt, I have already ordered it. I had only done a brief search yesterday but without luck. Thank you again, you are indeed priceless!

  2. Oh – Tory’s Lee Radziwill bag in Tiger’s Eye has me in wistful delight. It’s a luxury just to see the beauty of the bag (my pennies will need to be saved, but, it’s worth saving for what you really want). It will be my new savings goal! Maybe the Frugal Luxuries (also piqued my interest) will help me get there! Ha ha! ?

Thank you for the little luxury of viewing this post and bag.

    1. Abigail,

Isn’t it lovely? It caught my eye as well. 🙂 Ah yes, the pairing of that book with this particular outfit is a reminder that not everything need be pricey, but when we choose to welcome in an investment, when we choose well, it really is worth it. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by.

  3. What gorgeous lovelies all. I have been dithering about a summer straw tote, THANK YOU for sharing the Madewell Leather trimmed one! I’ve decided on the black trim, so chic, n’est-ce pas? And many thanks to you and Lucy reminding me to always peruse J. Crew for my basics. Love them. (And J. Crew Factory is brilliant.)
Okay, Cat Bude’s recipe for Lemon Thyme Cake sold the book for me,(and her prose), now I’m on a quest for the tin that created that beautiful shape! xx
