A film that strikes a festive, yet approachable and welcome theme, This Is Christmas, while released back in 2022 in the UK, somehow slipped my radar, but it is definitely a film to watch.

Get ready to cozy in, slip away to London, and ponder the question of how to bring a little festive cheer to those you see regularly throughout the year as you go about your daily routine to and from work.

Alfred Enoch stars as Adam, a regular commuter on the train from Langton to the heart of London. As you will see in the trailer below, he decides to organize a holiday party for the people on the train who sit beside each other day in and day out, yet know little, if anything, about each other.

Determined to help people realize that more unites than divides us, his festive cheer starts out strong, builds as fellow passengers gradually agree to help and join, then falters before a rousing success comes about in an unexpected fashion.

The cast is sprinkled with British talent you will recognize, Timothy Spall from Death Valley, Ben Miller from Death in Paradise, BAFTA TV award winner Joanna Scanlan, Sarah Niles from Ted Lasso and the list goes on.

While Adam’s character leads the story, and yes, there is a romantic subplot intertwined into all of this, what strengthens the film is the storylines of each of the passengers we get to know, how they begin to connect with each other, and help each other out.

Definitely a feel-good film to turn on and savor. I do hope you enjoy. Have a look at the trailer below.
