What to wear for a leisurely summer season that finds you staying in your hometown, but going out and about for everyday outings, errands, walks with the dogs, sitting down at a cafe, and heading to the market, all the while looking stylish yet always feeling comfortable in the heat?

It often takes me time, and figuring out my summer wardrobe for everyday occasions was no different for my life in Bend where I find myself walking every single morning, wanting to stay cool, but also look somewhat put together should I stop off afterward for an errand or two. As well, being able to mix and match and wear the items again and again not only throughout this singular summer but future summers as well, is a component worth investing in once I find the items I love, and such items are exactly what I am grateful to have found and eager to share with you today.

I shopped and included a few of these finds in July’s Ponderings . . . post shared last week (including a picture of my new Panama hat as well) along with promo codes exclusively available to TOP Tier members, but I wanted to follow through on my promise to shop and share my summer wardrobe for everydays. And Of course, July’s Outfits of the Month always include books, and yep, I have found three books worth exploring, two newly released and one about to be released.

In a handful of instances, the items shared below are similar to what I wear as these particular items (similar in style and composition) were purchased years ago, but I still love and wear them with the new items picked up this year. When sizing information is helpful (meaning, the sizing is not true to size), I have made mention of that based on my experience with the product and brand.

So whether you are venturing out in the morning or evening to walk your dog(s), love to stroll through the farmers’ market in the middle of the day or simply want ideas for what to wear as you go about your everyday tasks whether you are on holiday or like me, staying in your home town, below are pieces that will mix and match well (many of the items below come in oodles of colors) and keep you cool and protected from the sun. And will always keep you stylish. ☺️

  1. Just ordered the last 7.5 blue Ryka echo knit sneakers. I love Rykas but haven’t bought a pair in quite some time. The price was right! Thanks for the info.

    1. Wahoo! So tickled to hear! Love my slip on sneakers. Mine are a different brand, but they are fantastic and simple and still provide the structure and support I need. Thank you for stopping by!

  2. I just read the July 30 entry “Find Contentment” from The Road to Le Papillon. I have purchased the Contentment Masterclass, and today’s entry makes me really look forward to delving deeper with the curriculum you have developed. I know it will be incredible because through everything you do I always see the time, effort and passion you put into your work. Thanks! This part of today’s entry in The Road to Le Pavilion really spoke me today.

“Finding Contentment within yourself means recognizing a formidable foundation that will help to elevate you in the most trying and frustrating of times. And when you do find inner contentment, you will become more present in the moment, worry less about will come, and have more confidence that whatever will come, you will be able to handle it.”

Shannon, you really have such a beautiful and accessible way of expressing your thoughts.

    1. Debbie,

Thank you very much for sharing what spoke to you. I so enjoy hearing from readers about what resonated with them. And thank you for your kind words. I feel fortunate to be able to have the time and opportunity to give the projects that eventually are shared so that they share what I have envisioned with depth and hopefully connect and inspire and teach clearly readers to live their own unique simply luxurious life
