The Giveaway Winners of TSLL’s 11th Annual French Week!
Sunday August 16, 2026

Thank you for reading TSLL. The first two posts are complimentary. You have 1 free post view remaining this month.

Become a Member for as little as $4/mo and enjoy unlimited reading of TSLL blog.

Yesterday morning (Saturday), I began the day as I usually do, meditating on the garden porch with Nelle curiously wandering about the lawn, flower beds and seeing what the neighbors were up to, and as it was l’heure bleue, I couldn’t help but smile. Thinking of TSLL community, your comments on this post15 Ways to Savor L’Heure Bleue — made for some inspiring and lovely-to-read prose. If you haven’t already read this post, and especially the comments, I encourage you to do so. It is now easily a #top100 post here on TSLL.

Another French Week is in the books, and that is hard to believe, but I do hope you had a wonderful time. Whether discovering something new for incorporating into your everydays or perhaps ideas for your next or first trip to France, or maybe you discovered a kindred spirit or learned more about TSLL community and its love for living well and thoughtfully and most definitely with some Francophile inspiration sprinkled about.

After each year’s celebration, I am more than eager to book the tickets tout de suite and head to France immediately most preferred, and perhaps you are too. And whenever that may be, I wanted to share with you that in my new book Savoring the Sojourn, included in each of the seasonal chapters are wardrobe packing items (for city and country visits to both France and Britain) as well as travel tips for when you want to visit France but also have a desire to head over (or under) the Channel to Britain. Needless to say, France and my love for this country are sprinkled throughout the book in all sorts of ways, and I did my best in the audio version to speak as accurately in French as I could (please be kind). There is quite a lot of French in the book I quickly realized, as I was trying to read quotes in French and names in French, and so on and so on, you get the idea.

Spinesanglehorizontalteacupflowers

All of this is to say, Savoring the Sojourn will be available in just over a week, and my love for France is apparent throughout the book. You can learn more about the book here (you can still place signed preorders), and if you are new to TSLL’s books, I just updated TSLL Shop with the 4-book bundle of all my books where you can save 15%.

But now!

Oh! I almost forgot! Today is the final day to save 20% off all French-inspired notepads. The discount is already applied, and you can shop them all here. This includes the Capsule Menu notepad (English and French version) as well.

Following this post, the next new post will be on Friday with the This & That: August 21st , as I will be taking the first half of this coming week off and making sure all of the giveaways are on their way to the winners, and getting prepared to launch Savoring the Sojourn on August 25th. But now, let’s get to the winners!

If you see your name below, please follow these instructions:

Now, let’s not only discover who won the giveaways but learn a little bit more about each of the winners and fellow members in TSLL’s international community.

I am excited for you each to receive these special gifts, and do hope you enjoy them. I use Random.org to decide who the winner is because, after reading all of your comments on each giveaway, I want to give away as many gifts as there are of you who entered. 🙂 I appreciate your willingness to share a bit more about your life, to introduce yourself, and to let us know why a particular giveaway gift spoke to you. I take that as a sign that you feel safe in this community to do so, and I promise to continue to do all that I can to ensure TSLL remains a respite and a place to relax, pause, and enjoy yourself and the company of fellow TSLL Premier members.

A gardener, it is the forsythia that she delights in as it sings the song of spring’s arrival. Having traveled to Paris, she has shared that she is looking forward to traveling to Brittany, and one way she enjoys incorporating France into her life “is by having a charcuterie with many French cheeses, meats, and other fresh ingredients. It’s a simple dinner and a delicious way to savor France in our life.” I couldn’t agree more Marion and now I am most ravenous! 🙂

Thank you for a wonderful French week. So much inspiration ‘pour ma rentrée’, I start my B1 class next week.

  7. Good morning Shannon and the entire TSLL community! What an amazing feeling seeing my name as a winner of a beautiful candle (especially as I was kicking myself for missing the announcement/deadline for the gorgeous Longchamp bag). My heart was racing. As I shared with Shannon in my email, and I feel more comfortable doing here as well, I’m undergoing cancer treatment and autumn will be my challenge following a summer of surgeries. I tend to look for signs and feel Shannon’s new book, this candle and this community perhaps offers a trifecta of support and encouragement. So, thank you for the gift and the chance to express my appreciation. Best, Meg

    1. Dear Meg, congrats on winning the lovely candle! I’m sending you positive thoughts as you undergo your surgeries and treatments. As you know, our TSLL community is a caring and encouraging group of gals, so I hope you feel supported during this challenging time. I too have traveled the road you are on. Warm hugs and all the best as you recover. 🤗

    2. Dearest Meg, clearly I have been in a bit of a fog for the last couple months. I didn’t know we were from the same city. I am skipping Little Italy today, it is pouring here south of the city, still! I am with you in spirit dear heart for your journey thru treatment. How can we help you navigate this difficult time? Please remember that this community can lift one up like I never expected. Knowing our medical facilities, we are really fortunate, I am sure you will be given great care. I am so happy that you were one of the French Week winners!

    3. Lovely Meg, I am sending over warm hugs and good cheer and tons of support as you navigate your surgeries, treatments and recovery. And congratulations on getting the candle, how absolutely perfect, a lovely light to help guide you forward!
      Much love xx Rona

      1. Thank you so very much for your comments, I feel the warmth in my heart. My students would say I am “glazing”, but I know better :). Best, Meg

  8. What a lovely surprise! I have only been a member of this community for a short time. However I have already derived so much inspiration from the posts and comments. À bientôt, chère Shannon, and love to la Belle Nelle. x Gros bisous x

  14. Shannon, thank you so much for another wonderful French Week! I always learn a lot. Congratulations to the winners! It’s so exciting! 😊

  15. Congratulations to all the winners and to you, Shannon, for all the love and effort that is apparent in all that you do!

  16. What a wonderful way to start the week! Congratulations to all the winners, such nice gifts with French flair, this week is always such a joy.

  17. Bravo! Bravo! Congrats, one and all. Shannon, you do spoil us rotten. Thanks for a great week!
I want to add, after you mentioned your French pronunciation for the new book, that I cannot recommend a Phonetics class enough. Besides Translation, it was my absolute favorite and most useful French course. It totally decodes those mysterious sounds that we just cannot get our native English speaking mouths and tongues to make! I will never sound like a native, and that is just fine, but I now have the confidence of exactly how to say the words I am looking at. I do highly suggest taking it in person, if available, because the professor needs to see and hear in detail how you are doing in order to correct properly. We were a huge class but it was so fun, he’d just point to us randomly and it was our turn to speak a word, fly or flop, we all had laughs. Let me just say we mostly had trouble with “brie” 🤭, forming that b then immediately going to the back of the mouth for the r, not for the faint of heart, I tell you 😆. He was a native English speaker also, which made it easier for him to coach us, knowing the challenges we face.

  18. Thank you for all the wonderful content during French Week. As always, I was inspired by your writing, Shannon and the thoughts/comments from the TSLL community. Merci

  19. Congratulations to all the winners! And thank you, Shannon, for presenting us with new information and ideas. I am fortunate that I have not one but two trips to France planned before the year is out. You’ve certainly given me some ideas for things to look for and to look forward to.

  20. Yay! Congratulations to all of the winners and a huge thank you to Shannon for another wonderful French Week! This year seemed extra special, even though I say that every year, but somehow, the posts brought back so many memories of living in France all those years ago. Thank you for all of the time, thought and care you put into this week, Shannon! Wishing you a restful few days ahead. 😊

  21. Congratulations to all the winners (especially Meg- I hope you are doing OK and have plenty of support around you and that you get better soon)- and thanks Shannon for another great French week.

  22. Thank you for another delightful French Week on The Simply Luxurious Life, Shannon. Felicitations to all of the winners of the giveaways!

  23. Thank you, Shannon, for creating a convivial, informative week for all of us. And a special felicitation to the winners!
