To set an intention and then let go.

To have a direction while permitting ourselves to dance along the journey.

Over the past year I have been using the weekly notepad – Ingredients for a Bonne Semaine – each week, and finding it to be incredibly helpful to both keep me focused and relaxed. In fact, I eagerly check in with this list throughout the week to see if I am on track, as I keep it on my refrigerator (it has a magnet on the back), and delight whenever I can either check off or place a solid dot (task in progress) next to each item.

While as I shared last year regarding how I use my planner and notepad for staying organized, I do keep a detailed planner to keep track of each day, month, weekly time schedule, etc., this weekly notepad is a breath of fresh air in my organizing approach.

Why? It’s simple and grounds me in my whole-life priorities.

As you can see, it only allows a maximum of eight items, and I do my best to keep fewer than that each week. Also, the items I write on this list must pertain to what would, upon completion, prompt me to feel productive AND at peace by week’s end. So I include both concrete tasks but also ways of living and moving through my day in alignment with how to live a life of contentment.

Each weekend, as one week concludes and another prepares to begin, I will sit down in a cozy spot – this weekend it was on the porch (garden or front) – and having already planned the new week in my Moleskine planner (so in detail – each day’s events and must-do tasks), I will then take my weekly notepad and write the objectives I will set as my intention for the new week.

Norman joins me to settle in and relax as I savor the conclusion of one week, and look ahead to the new one.

This weekly ritual has become a joy, and in its own unique way ‘lighten’ how I approach my weeks to ensure I am living, not just making it through.

  1. Just ordered, fir the 1st time ?. I appreciate your explanation of how the Bonne Semaine one works for you, adding more intentionality and quality of life to the week, versus just checking in on my usual planner. And a basket full of flowers and bread will be a nice reminder to savor daily life. Merci!
I, of course, had to add the Cuppa one and Croissance. ??

    1. Your order is prepped and will be shipped tomorrow! I do hope you enjoy them, especially the weekly. It genuinely has helped hold my intention clearly and also encouraged me to let go and be fully engaged throughout the week without stressing about a long list.

      1. So fast, how kind! I can definitely see how it has helped your week. My week “plan” is always squished in a corner until I assign each thing a day but how lovely to have a fresh pretty sheet to look at instead. Visual inspiration is so important. Now, I just have to work on my penmanship so that it’s beautiful like yours ?.

  2. I so enjoy having my TSLL notepads at the ready, but I hadn’t considered using the Bonne Semaine one quite that way, merci pour ton conseil! Now to go check my stock, an order might be in store…(The exquisite photo at the end caught my breath, what is the name of that delicate beauty?)??☕?

    1. Great question about the flower – don’t the petite round details look like small pearls? I just adore this hydrangea. It is the phantom hydrangea and in about a month’s time, these mopheads will be a blush pink turning to rusty mauve in early fall. Thank you for your comment!

      1. I am thoroughly smitten and enchanted. I have just the spot for it in the east-facing garden, under planning as the Pollinator Garden for this coming Spring. (I have two other mopheads, both in the Shade Garden on the other side of the Greenhouse and this one will be a nice complement to their pink and purple blooms.) Thanks, Shannon!

        1. Rona, your plan and existing plants sound lovely! A Pollinator Garden, what a great idea. My name means honeybee, so I’m all about their protection and happy environment, so they can do their thing.

  3. Ah yes, from the Greek, I love it! And thank you. I’ve always pottered a bit with gardening, sometimes having a potager, always having pots of herbs, but this year I decided to really dive in, and, inspired by Shannon, have begun creating and naming various plots and corners of my green space. I am truly having a blast with it all. Enjoy your evening, Honeybee!??

    1. Thanks, you too! Agreed, so charming to name our living areas, indoors and out. Wonder what Shannon has in store for us tomorrow…? ?

  4. I’ve been absolutely in love with your notepads acquired earlier this year…must choose before the end of the week! I love weekly notepads and keep one on a wooden stand not unlike the one you have in your kitchen…it’s an easy way to keep grocery lists and plan menus, and even tick off daily vitamins haha! Thank you for these lovely designs, and the special offer.

    1. Liz,

A great idea! Upright and visible and containing the information you need to live well. 🙂 Happy to be able to have them available.

I had to raise the prices on these two French notepads as the production cost went up recently which was disappointing, so I do apologize about the increase, but I think the large artwork prompted the printer to up the cost.

Between my Market to Market and the Weekly notepads and then just having a Croissant or Simply notepad handy for ideas and leaving messages, these notepads keep me focused and also enable me to let go and enjoy the day.

If you have any questions before you order, just let me know. 🙂

  5. So thrilled it’s French week for a myriad of reasons. Relishing the conversation above – and cannot WAIT for the notepads to arrive. Being organized and having beauty in the everyday sets one up for success. Thank you, Shannon for making them available and for the discount available this week!
