Autumn may just be out of sight, but before we know it, cooler temps will arrive requiring us to pull out the coats, the wool scarves, cover our toes and all of the regular and cozy favorites from our fall/winter capsule wardrobe. So now it the time to see what is available from brands and designers.

While we may not buy everything we put on our list to fill the gaps or elevate what we have, we can save it to Karma or a personal list so that when perhaps it goes on sale later in the year – say in late November or the end of December, we can save on something we know we would have paid full priced if our budget would have allowed.

Last month I shared how my approach to shopping for my own wardrobe has evolved, and in a detailed post sharing how I learned and came upon this approach, one finessing detail that has proved rather helpful, especially when Labor Day Sales (for example) occur, is a word document with direct links to all of the clothing, shoes and accessories I love, so I then click on the link (if the items cannot be saved to Karma) to see if it is on sale without taking too much time to do so. Case in point, one of the designer optical frames I have been watching and hoping would go on sale, being on my list, prompted me to check this weekend to see if it had been reduced in price and yep! it had been!

While there is much to anticipate when the return to work and school and regular schedules resume, knowing we look put together, are wearing clothes that accentuate the person we know ourselves to be at our very best is a worthwhile investment. And while it takes time to build this high quality, versatile and timeless wardrobe, with each season we can add an item or two, and realize how worth such a patient and intentional approach pays off.

So now without further chatting, let’s get to the hand-picked shopping items found from across the web, 80+! along with the seven trends frequently seen on runways last spring that are worth investing in this season and will most certainly be applicable and stylish for many seasons to come.

Quickly, the sales are seemingly everywhere this long holiday weekend in the states, so while I have listed a few below, be sure to check out your favorite brands’ websites because likely, they too have something on sale. And so long as it is something you have had your eye on, now is a great time to pounce.

Now to shop and peruse!
