Pointed toe pumps are a classic go-to in my wardrobe with nude and black needing to always be at the ready, but it wasn’t until this year that I welcomed a pair of white leather pointed toe pumps into the closet.

I quickly realized how frequently I could wear them as spring arrived and into the summer. The fresh aesthetic is crisp, neutral and timeless.

Worn with trousers for work along with a simple camisole or tee layered under a blazer similar to Thandie Newton above, or my favorite, paired with light or distressed denim. Of course, wearing with a dress or a skirt works quite well because while it doesn’t elongate as seamlessly as a nude pump, it is still light in color and doesn’t distract the eye or place a blunt period at the end of your silhouette.

I have gathered together a few images for inspiration, and be sure to click on any of them to be redirected to their source and items. As well, I have shopped a few pairs of white pumps below. Welcome to pre-summer style!

  1. Nope. Not doing it. Only a white flat, casual sandal. I don’t know why, but to me they look “so old” “tired” “not inspiring”. I know you know what I mean. Even a beige, or a beige/white or brown/white or black/white would work for me, but not all white. It’s not at all personal, just a fashion choice. xx’s

  2. Hello Shannon Haven’t worn white courts for years but those shown definitely give the outfits ‘wow’. May have to investigate … ! Best wishes from England, Sue

  3. White pumps look great on Thandie but then everything does on her. They have been maligned a bit here in the UK with a bit of fashion negativity in the past but now in fashion. A no no for me but white sandals work fine for me?
