Sunday night’s 24th Annual Screen Actors’ Guild awards offered a rainbow of pink shades on the red carpet which reminded me of the power of the perfect pink for any one of us. Depending upon your skin’s color tone (cool or warm), pink can be a calm or a vibrant option. While sometimes pink can be as muted as to resemble nude, on certain skin tones the pink in the fabric is brought forth ever so slightly (similar to Tomei’s dress above, albeit, I would argue it is more nude than pink, but it is close).
Too much pink can be overwhelming, but perhaps a simple pink scarf with a neutral palette of tan and beige enables it to work its magic to bring forth a youthful glow and remind us to add a touch of color to our wardrobe every once in a while.
Below I’ve shopped a few different pink items ranging from bright to soft and subtle. Have a look and see if you too would like to bring a little or a lot of blush to your capsule.

Yes, I am thinking of spring and pink sounds like the perfect way to get it going! Did you notice that none of the
Ladies shown were wearing any jewelry around their necks? Is there something I am missing?
Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity. Let the woman shine on her own! (Many of the dresses were show stoppers themselves, most likely this was the reason.)
I’m curious about the different pinks for different skin tones. I have similar coloring to you and tend to like a more nude pink.
Thank you Shannon for this reminder. I have pink on my list for Spring. Deep pink blazer and very pale pink jeans (Isabel Marant).Pink tends to get overlooked but this spring we can indulge. I know someone who is very superstitious and only ever wears pink!!?
