The Art of Thinking in Systems: Improve Your Logic, Think More Critically, And Use Proven Systems To Solve Your Problems – Strategic Planning For Everyday Life by Steve Schuster

Each of us is involved throughout our daily lives in systems. Whether it is the system of our community, our school, our job, our families, knowing how to navigate them well, making better decisions for ourselves and how to effectively problem solve, will help improve the quality of our lives. Steve Schuster’s book which was originally released in 2017 and is now in paperback shares the dynamic differences of the many systems we find ourselves: politics, economies and education and shares how to understand how they function and how we can successfully maneuver amongst it all.

AERIN Scalloped Rim Dinner Plates, blue (green available)

Simple white plates are my go-to in my kitchen, but a subtle touch of hand painted blue on these scalloped plates in Aerin Lauder’s home collection for Williams-Sonoma caught my eye. Available with green edges as well in different sizes, if you are looking for simple with a touch of signature style, be sure to check out her full collection here.

Francophile Find

Back to Burgundy

When I read the review of director Cédric Klapisch’s new French film in The Wall Street Journal, I immediately put it on my watch list. Centered around a family vineyard and the dilemma of what to do when the patriarch passes, the children come together, squabble, remember and then decide on the best path. Just released to theaters in the states last week, have a look at the trailer below and indulge your French language skills as well.

French Today

After listening to a recent Earful Tower podcast episode in which the founder of French Today, Camille, was interviewed, I took note and following the episode visited her website. Camille Chevalier makes available French audio books at a variety of levels teaching listeners real French. While you will have to pay for the audio books, the app is free so that you can listen how and where you want. Learn more here.

My Stylish French Box

Perhaps you remember last August when I received my first Stylish French Box from Sharon Santoni, but if not you can peek inside the luxurious seasonal delivery that brings the gifts of France to your home no matter where you live. Most recently, the winter 2018 delivery was delivered to subscribers and it was inspired by Marie Antoinette. Above you can see all of the lovely gifts Sharon sent those on the mailing list, but be sure to look even more closely here at each item.

If you would like to get on the list to receive your spring seasonal Stylish French box, be sure to subscribe this month. You can learn more about how to do so here. (And get to know Sharon when she stopped by the podcast last summer here.)

Mango Pocket linen-blend jacket

Linen has my attention as of late, and so do good prices for quality items. Mango’s new linen-blend jacket will be arriving soon, and is worth taking a closer look, as it will be scooped up quickly once it becomes available. The price is reasonable and the style is timeless.

Mark & Graham Palm Leaf Rounded Clutch

Earlier in the weekly Signature Style post I found many different Basket Bags for the upcoming spring and summer season, but only one clutch. This palm leaf rounded clutch is a perfect addition to summer evening excursions. Simple, classic and not too small (be sure to click through to see how much you can place inside as I was pleasantly surprised).

~recipe for homemade croissants~

Happy Friday! The first week of April, oh my goodness, and those croissants drizzled with chocolate are tickling my tastebuds. Pour me a cup of hot tea, and I would devour one far too quickly. Care to join me?

I hope your week went well, and you’re standing at the beginning of the weekend with a uninhibited smile due to all that is ahead of you, as well as how the week that was unfolded. This weekend will be low-key, and I am happy to savor such a couple of days. With a busy week of progress on many fronts these past few days, I am ready to slow down, rest and reboot.

Below are a few articles as well as two videos worth taking a look at, and if you haven’t already shopped TSLL’s 2018 Spring Shopping Guide, be sure to take a look here. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and until Monday, bonne journée!
