Tall Boots, Midi Length Skirts & Loose Layers: the Fall 2020 NYC Runways

Feb 11, 2020

Fashion Month began last Wednesday, and the shows and collections to be shared in NYC are just about wrapping up. Soon the fashion legions and models, buyers and style pundits will be moving on to London, but before they do, I wanted to share a few looks that caught my eye for the Fall 2020 season.

I always love the semi-annual month of fall and spring collections being revealed. New ideas, new pairings, new colors and new inspiration for infusing my own wardrobe with a subtle updated touch.

Below I have hand-picked a few collections that captured my attention, and in particular a few of the items that walked the runway that may just be items to consider welcoming into our capsule wardrobes. Trending so far is midi length dresses, loose dresses, one shoulder exposed – Proenza Schouler especially brought this trend to the runway (see above image), tall boots, as well as fringe and bold primary colors. So far, I am intrigued.

Stay tuned to shop TSLL’s Spring Shopping Guide on April 1st and shop TSLL’s Fall Shopping Guide in which the below items will be my guide on September 1st of each year. (Click through on any of the images to view the entire collection.)

  1. Me too, so happy to see that after more than a decade of body-con dresses and unwearable trends, we finally get to wear clothes that are both gorgeous, feminine and modest. I see the knits + midi skirts trend is still going strong, for my greatest pleasure, as it is so easy to translate to real life. And the knitter in me is drooling over these beautiful sweaters.

  2. Just saw an irresistible pair of tall suede boots on clearance. I never plan my wardrobe properly. Starting today! Thank you for the inspiration!
