~Pumpkin Nutella Swirl Muffins with Pumpkin Spice Crumble Topping – recipe here~

Such a regular occurrence, but the arrival of any weekend is never disappointing. With holiday planning slowing beginning, my eyes are always peeled for new and delicious recipes, and this scrumptious muffin recipe from How To: Simplify stopped me in my tracks. Perhaps a  wonderful morning pastry to begin the Thanksgiving day before all of the festive cooking begins, no?

Before we all scoot off to the weekend, I wanted to introduce a few new destinations to check out on the blog as the blog remodel has wrapped up. I can’t thank Shari Miller of Little Blue Deer and Joy Miller (no relation) of Five J’s Design for the transformation the blog has undergone. With a total overhaul of all of the pages that you’ll find underneath the header, there are now multiple drop-down options to take you to the precise place you wish to go without excess scrolling and searching. Also, be sure to check out the newly updated Stylist Services page where sample outfits and testimonials, as well as an option to purchase a gift certificate are available. And lastly, the Shop TSLL page is completely redone and will be continually updated with the current books I am reading and loving and direct shopping for the essential wardrobe items you are looking for as you build your very own capsule wardrobe. The blog has come a long way in nearly four years, and with these changes I hope to provide you the readers with a better experience each time you stop by.

With that, the week was busy, and as a newsletter subscriber you can catch up on all of the week’s posts and happenings in one weekly email. Have you subscribed? And while readers made “33 Ways to Find Inspiration“, the top post of the week, I wandered around the web and found a few fellow bloggers’ posts inspiring as well. Have a look . . .

~DIY Fruit Votives . . . perfect for that Thanksgiving table decor

~Simple Living: The Earlier the Better . . . worthwhile benefits of simplifying our lives

~Taking Paris Home: 5 Ways to Vacation without Taking a Trip . . . from a fantastic new lifestyle print magazine

~Save on quality staples . . . The OutNet is taking an additional 30% off designer items (that’s 30% below their already low exclusive price) . . . these cashmere sweaters caught my eye (here and here) and this ring and bracelet and these ballet flats. Oh, and if you were admiring the gold necklace in this week’s Style Inspiration post, perhaps this gold necklace will whet your appetite (especially at such a low price).

And now to the weekend, the sweet and lovely thing that it is. Have a wonderful two days of doing just as you please, and until Monday, bonjour.

  1. Hi Shannon,
I’ve been a longtime reader and love your writing; the new blog looks great. One random suggestion: I love your recommended links for other reading online, but it would great if you could set them to open in a new tab rather than leave your site! It is just something small, but it is something I really would appreciate as a reader. Thanks again for all the great work!
