Warmer temperatures and gazes toward summer mean white, white and a bit more white. The fresh, clean look of a crisp white button up shirt or white jean jeans, and even more summer-eque, a white summer dress, enable a myriad of combinations. All the more opportunity to infuse your style into each pairing. Whether with leopard flats as above, floral pants or skirts or a stately hat as you will see below, white offers one’s personality to shine. Be sure to vote for your favorite outfit as the readers’ favorite will be shopped next week.

I love the high-low mix of this week’s Outfit of the Week. Forever a lover of luxuriously soft t-shirts, this particular gray linen-silk blend offers a touch of cozy jersey, and when paired with the floral pencil skirt reveals a hip confidence with a certain feminine style.

  1. Thank you for the “shop” on the floral skirt and gray t. This week I am drawn to the white dress in the last photo. It looks as if it will be comfy even on a muggy day in August.

  2. Ooh, this is my favorite of the style inspiration series yet! Such timeless looks. Love the dress in 4th picture- airy yet polished – a combination hard to find especially in a full skirted version. Also like the last dress for humid days though variations on that are easier to come by.

  3. I like the white shirt, blue jeans, nude heels. I’ve always liked the contrast of a well cut white shirt with blue jeans, although I tend to prefer a less transparent shirt.

  4. I love white year round however the rain (mud) here in Seattle presents a problem at times 😉 The white dress is so sweet and I think I’d need the pencil skirt for the office .. like them both! xxleslie

  5. I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes wearing white in the summer! A lot of magazines and clothing stores push color, color, and more color during the warmer seasons, but white is a classic staple that is great for summer, not to mention it also helps keep you cool!

  6. I love #7, the classics always work for me. Simple, yet elevated to something special by the way they’re put together.

  7. I really am drawn to #3….
am finding the idea of “personality” added to white appealing….will be thinking of ways of pairing personal and unique with it.
