3.6.14a

The temperatures have increased dramatically in just a few short days, and I am dreaming of fresh flowers, light jackets and pedicure-necessary sandals. Nothing speaks more of spring than white, denim jackets and pops of bright blue, and that is precisely what you will find in today’s Style Inspiration. Peruse through the outfits, making sure to choose your favorite and share in the comments below as the favorite of the favorite of readers will be shopped for next week’s Outfit of the Week.

Tory Burch’s print tunic dress captured the majority of the votes last week, and while the precise dress in the image isn’t available, another dress from Tory Burch is. Serendipitously keeping in today’s Style Inspiration theme with a navy print that can carry you well into the warm summer months, pair with flats, over-sized sunnies and add some shape by cinching your waist with a belt. You’ll be comfortable, cool and chic.

  1. Combination #2 photo (white boyfriend shirt) w/ #3 photo (perfect distressed boyfriend jeans w/ sandals) and #5 photo (perfect pop of color bag)!

Great choices! I look forward to this each and every Thursday. Thank you 🙂

  2. Just send me the things in photos two and four, six and eight! Gorgeous. I have the denim jacket, a lovely vintage one I intend to wear until it falls apart. The blue and tan totes are exactly what I’ve been looking for. Now to try to find them here in England.

  3. Hi Shannon I love so much about the last outfit no12. Great twist on the jacket with the patterned sleeves and the shoes are fab. Im always on the look out for comfortable nude heels, not too high and with soft leather. These ones look like they might fit the bill.

  4. Shannon,

I have been following your blog daily for probably about 2yrs and while I love your style of writing, your inspirational and empowering thoughts AND of course the fabulous fashion ideas (basically everything about your blog), I was always disappointed that no one in your photos every looked like me or even the majority of my friends (which are from many diverse ethnic backgrounds) and one day not too long ago, I finally decided to make a comment about it.

AND YOU LISTENED! Thank you! I appreciate your blog all the more so now that I know I can see beautiful, inspiring women that look like me or may have hair like mine! I squeeled with delight with I saw the gorgeous woman with such beautiful curly hair today!

You help send the message that beauty doesn’t come in just one formula even though that is what America has tried to convince us of in the past! We are so much bigger than that! We are not all blond, not all blue eyed, not all with straight hair. Please continue to include more beautiful women of all shades and hair types and sizes. And when you are ready to publish your book, I will be there with my friends the day it hits the stores!!!

  5. Where is the white tuxedo shirt from and where are the jeans from with the leopard pumps? I love the bottom of those jeans. I’m thinking of buying the Stuart Weitzman flat gladiator sandals so I can walk and be stylish, thoughts? They are a little pricey.

    1. I wanted to know where to find the tuxedo shirt as well or a comparable one. Maybe Shannon can offer this info?

I’d also love for Shannon to do a post on great white T-shirts at different price points. Every spring I find myself on the hunt ; ) but I’m sure talk shows will cover this as well since many read blogs like this one.

  6. Love, love these outfits! One of my fave combos are jeans and and a simple white tee – so classic. I’m not one for frills, flowers or a lot of embellishment (but enjoy seeing others do it well) so this week’s post is perfect for those like me.

    Thx!
    M.

  7. Shannon I love your blog and newsletters. I recently unsubscribed to most blogs as part of decluttering my life (too many come inundated with sales pitches) but I kept yours for the great fashion pics, books etc and that you cover different price points.

Have you thought of doing video blogs on Youtube?
