A designer bag paired with cuffed boyfriend jeans. A loose sequin top with hip hugging denim trousers or a casual fine knit cashmere sweater worn with black leather loafers. The mixing of high and low pieces when it comes to fashion is one of the things I love most about putting together a wardrobe. Something expected with something unexpected. Not only is it fun to wear, but it can work in a variety of different social settings. Have a look today at outfits that fit the casual, yet quite chic definition.

Shannon, you nailed it once again with your style inspiration. I am excited because last night I found what I think to be the perfect leopard print heels from DVF, a score from Gilt. I cannot wait until they arrive. Now I just need to find the perfect destroyed boyfriend jeans 🙂
Cheers
Carrie
Carrie, Nice find! Love those moments of discovery. 🙂
Chic and casual, just how I like it!

I need to know whose red handbag that is… it is simply exquisite!!
I LOVE the chic and casual look…there is nothing more simple and elegant! It helps when the pieces you wear for work can translate to casual wear and vice versa. This is what my wardrobe has now become, I don’t really have a separate work wardrobe from casual anymore. I just look for pieces that will work in both ways. I feel alot more feminine/pretty but yet just as powerful with such pieces that traditional suiting for example. The only thing I can’t really stand are these boyfriend jeans. Sorry, it’s just NOT a trend I’m on board with! I think they are severely unflattering.
Nina, The website where the image is displayed states that it is a Kaem tote from France. However, I am not able to find that exact style. My apologies. If I do find it, I will post here on the blog.
Where can I locate the brown bag in the swinging-paris photo?
Thanks
Unfortunately, the image found doesn’t provide any help in locating the bag.
