The summer sun and intermittent summer storms brings a need for light, airy and breathable clothing, and the easy pick is white. Whether a shirt dress like Blair Eadie above, white ankle length jeans or a loose white eyelet blouse shown at the bottom of the post, all of these options and everything in between are ideal for summer leisure and style. Have a look.
The navy midi skirt was the overall winner that readers picked last week, and I can see why – elegant, yet clearly comfortable. This classic pairing of navy with white accented with nude accessories epitomizes the power of quality basics to anchor any wardrobe. This week’s bag is from Badgley Mischka and is quite the steal. If you’re in the market, definitely take a closer look.

I’m going with #12….eyelet blouse/white shorts. Especially inspired by the white with the lovely shade of the bag.
I agree with Cathy…I have purchased a cute white polo with an eyelet front..wonderful for summer. I want another eyelet option to add to my wardrobe.
Love white for summer. I practically live in black pants the rest of the year … but its white all summer long. Black pants, even summer weight black fabrics, seem so heavy to me in the summer heat. Loved this post.

#9 – stripes on top, white bottoms…classically summer!
Gwyneth Paltrow look. Not a fan of hers but like the outfit.
#11 The long sleeve white top can move from casual to evening wear.
I am loving the cream colored blazer on top of all white. Although I have a major fear of spillage on white/cream… case in point today. I was actually wearing white ankle length denim pants and low and behold a spot. Luckily I was able to run home and change, albeit into another pair of white denim pants 🙂
