This week New York Fashion Week kicks off a month long extravaganza of fall fashions, and with it comes the signature street styles of the fashion elite, bloggers, and models. Signature styles will be readily seen, but as the styles gathered together today will demonstrate, it doesn’t require endless accessories and hordes of clothing items to create such a look, but rather a strong sense of self and paying attention to proportions. Have a look, and be sure to choose which outfit you’d like me to shop for next week’s Outfit of the Week.

Last week’s Style Inspiration, prompted a simple, yet femininely strong ensemble that can easily mix and match with other outfits. Whether you prefer a long-sleeve or short-sleeve blouse, denim or dress pants, layering with a classic black blazer and oversized watch will take you almost everywhere you need to go during your busy days at work.

  1. Lovely photo inspiration Shannon, I need to Pin some of these 🙂 I want to let you know that this weekend I was looking at The Gap’s website for a cozy turtleneck sweater (they had few options but they were on sale). I found one and thought to myself “is this something Shannon would suggest buying” regarding the style. The sweater I chose looks similar to the one in the photo here with the gray cozy sweater and white jeans. Love!

    1. 😉 I will have to stop by and take a look. And I couldn’t agree more about the gray sweater and white jeans – a breath of fresh air for winter styling – clean, sophisticated and cozy.

  2. Great inspiration as always! I especially like #4…..I love the idea of a curated collection of coats as a signature style….seems very chic to me. #6 is also appealing, I suppose for the same reason.

  3. Love #6, but then I’m a pushover for scarves. The oversized scarf and the mixture of plaids appeal to me and show a confidence in her style. It could be casual with jeans or dressed up with trousers, pencil skirt, or sheath dress. Love looks that multi-task!

  4. Thank you so much for this style inspiration posts! I love #3, #8 and #9. Iove the idea of the oversized sweater with heels.Makes me think cozy and style put together!
