Even though the weather is warmer, and our pedicure is on display does not mean we need to wear lesser quality shoes. In fact, because there is less support, what we do wear should be quality. From the leather soles to the comfortable straps that hold our feet in place, the feel with each wear is just as important as how they look. And how they look can finish the look.
Making a statement with timeless espadrilles, simple multi-leather brown straps or brilliant bright red flats can elevate an understated white cotton shirt dress or casual denim ankle jean. Currently I am on the look-out for quality espadrilles and will be doing a post on this summer shoe in the coming weeks. I couldn’t help but peruse ideas for what to wear a quality statement sandal with, and the above images are proving to be quite inspiring. I couldn’t agree more, Shannon. I have been looking for a statement sandal for the past few years and am currently considering the tropezienne. For espadrilles I have settled for Castañer as they have all different colours and heel sizes.
I have been Castañer. I have heard only good things. And yes, Les Tropezienne is on my list too. 🙂
Yes, I, too have been a loyal fan of Castener for the past several years, though Jeanne Damas has been tempting me with a few cute styles from her Rouje e-tail shop!
Just ordered a pair of Tropeziennes inspired by your podcast and the new mystery at the Bastide Blanche. Will let you know if they are my new signature sandals. ?
Please do! I am looking to pick up a pair as well and I have a feeling many readers are as well.:)
So right Shannon.Such a great feeling to discard boots in favour of statement sandals. Nothing beats an espadrille for summer wedge or flats I have a red and beige Castanér but am eyeing up a burgundy velvet pair for autumn. I just love them?
