Spring is a wonderful time to play with more brilliant, bright colors, and if you’re tentative to wear an entire color from head to toe, why not look into wearing color block designs? Color blocking has been trending for a couple of years now and continues to be a playful way to appear retro and trendy chic at the same time.

What I love about both of the dresses included in this week’s Splurge & Save Outfit post is that the color blocking is chosen and strategically placed to trim the body – bringing the waist in and allowing the legs to be elongated.

And since it is spring, pair either one of these dresses with nude sandals to elongate the leg even further, choose a colorful over-sized clutch and rest assured that in a matter of minutes, you will appear stylishly pulled together for a business meeting or evening out and about.
