Last weekend, I had some free time in the afternoon, so I stopped by a local consignment shop. While I’m always keeping my eyes open for a camel coat, I didn’t expect to find one of top quality (cashmere-wool blend), in like-new condition for less than $50 (see my find here).

Needless to say, I was thrilled. A camel coat is wonderful staple to have during the winter months. It can be worn with jeans or skirts and dresses. However, with jeans or pants, it is important to keep the proportions in check. If you coat is fairly long (hitting at your knee or longer), add a few inches of heel, if it hits mid-thigh have fun with your choice of shoe height (boots are always a great option).
