Fall beckons the blazers and turtlenecks to be put into rotation, as well as ankle boots and sweaters that are plush enough to not require another coat as the temperatures are temperate and the sun is still shining offering just enough warmth. September as it nears the beginning of fall is a stunning season to enjoy fashionably. Many ideas come from the street at the four fashion weeks, as you will see in some of the images below, but simply reveling in the joy of a bit more warmth, a few more layers makes the possibilities seem endless. The image above is a wonderful example of mixing it up while still playing with the classics: a tweed blazer, belted with a large black belt and a simple black crew neck top. Now that is September style. Enjoy this week’s inspiration!

  1. Shannon, Your photos remind me to use my blazer as a jacket while it is not too cold up here in Canada! I’m thinking of investing in a wool or cashmere camel coat, but am just not sure, so still shopping and looking. Max Mara weekend has a wool coat with a belt and hood–just very expensive. Thank you for your inspirations Shannon!

  2. I can’t wait to pull out my fall clothes. Sadly September in Austin, Texas means we still have highs in the upper 90s. This gives me something to look forward to in November though. 🙂

  3. Looking so very forward to cooler temperatures and jackets! It’s been in the 90’s for so long. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of fall like temperatures.

Love the blue striped button down blouse!
