Anyone who believes one’s palace need be large and expansive should take a note from interior designer Shon Parker. Refurbishing a small Atlanta, Georgia, cottage into a sanctuary that beckons the inhabitants to dine simply but well, read often and deeply as well as converse without note of the time, Parker demonstrates the power of textures, signature furniture and choice of light fixtures. Curating a lived in space with luxurious rich detail, I wouldn’t mind spending my mornings in the kitchen above, or sitting down by the fire with a full body glass of red wine.
