  1. Dear Shannon –

I just ordered “Without Reservations”. I read part of it online and it looks great! I have gotten so many good books, at your suggestion, over the past few years.

Thank you and keep ’em coming!

  2. I totally love this mixture of blue and beige, and decided this would be my color palette for my Spring wardrobe.

  3. I read Without Reservations every year, Alice was a lovely writer. She had a gift of getting to know strangers. And she learns of a book as you read her story, and I found it at Powell’s a couple of years ago, but it took me quite awhile to get my hands on it, but I knew Powell’s would come through and it was after I moved away and came back for vacation, anyway, I recommend that book she mentions too. I was delighted to see you recommend this book, and I also love the color palette. Can you tell my excitement.?

  4. LOL! Thank you for bringing me hope, Shannon. It’s snowing heavily here in the mountains & when we go out this afternoon we’ll be taking my husband’s big pickup with the 4WD “bush” suspension that’s so high I practically need a step ladder to get into the thing. And I’ll be wearing hiking boots, heavy wool socks, jeans, wool sweaters, parka, mitts & scarf — no pretty dresses or pumps, alas. But I live in eternal hope that spring WILL come & your blog this morning is a balm to my winter-weary soul. Well, that & pretty underwear! 🙂 Thanks also for the book recommendation. I agree with Kate about how many good “reads” you’ve provided me.

  5. Love Alice Steinbach’s Without Reservations
I bought it when it was first published. I think I am on my 3rd or 4th copy. Plus it’s on my ipad?? ?

  6. Hello Shannon,
You sure give my Amazon account a work out! ? Just ordered the travel book. Thank you for your fabulous content and recommendations!
