As quickly as the week began, it has wrapped up. Barely, it seems, before I was able to step out the front door. Perhaps, though, this is a good sign. A sign that projects are keeping me busy, progress is being made and good things have the potential to occur. A weekend with my dogs is planned and eagerly anticipated, as the next few days will hopefully be a bit slower, leisurely and freedom to forget about the clock.

This week on the blog, readers quickly made this post their favorite, but this post wasn’t too far behind. And for even more reading, I discovered a few items around the web that I am eager to share. I do hope you enjoy.

~An op-ed worth reading, inspired by the Nigerian girls horrifically kidnapped simply because they were seeking an education – “What’s So Scary About Smart Girls?

~Haven in Paris founder, Erica Berman takes readers on a Tour – My Montmartre: Erica’s Favorite Spots in Montmartre” – be sure to have a look at her apartment there as well – my dream rental for my next trip, and available for month long stays as well!

~Have a look at an exclusive excerpt from Hillary Clinton’s upcoming memoir Hard Choices provided by Vogue.

~Garance Dore broaches an interesting subject in her post “Talking Age” , shares some insightful thoughts and begs the question, do women get in their own way when it comes to beauty and age by not realizing their true beauty?

~And the much anticipated film Grace of Monaco opened the 2014 Cannes Film Festival this week to mix reviews. However, actress Paz Vega who plays opera singer Maria Callas, undoubtedly stole the show in my opinion in each of her cocktail length dresses. Stay tuned for more of my favorites next week.

Have a lovely weekend, and be sure to stop by tomorrow for a Petit Plaisir that will tempt your tastebuds. Until then, bonjour.
