Stripes will forever be a staple in my capsule wardrobe, so whether it is a sweater or a tee, having a few on hand is a must. Saint-James, a clothing company based in the north of France is known for their classic Breton stripe tops (and now, masks!) taking credit for being the genesis of the fisherman sweater in the 18th century and as a clothing company since the Middle Ages (you read that correctly, wow!). They are currently having a sale on many of their items, one of which is included in today’s outfit.

Depending upon the weather where you live, jeans may be kept in the closet at this time, but by the time this outfit arrives at your home, fall will nearly be here, and in many parts of the world, jeans and a long-sleeve tee or light sweater would be perfect for strolling to the morning or evening market to pick up what you will be transforming into a delicious meal.

As well, French Week wouldn’t be French Week here on TSLL without an opportunity to bring home a traditional French Market basket. This year, Olive & Branch, a small female-owned business is offering a 15% discount exclusively to TSLL readers for the duration of the week. Simply use promo code TSLL. AND, be sure to stop by later this week, as Olive & Branch will be giving away a special, unique French market find to a lucky ad-free subscriber (it’s not a basket, but something even more quintessential to the French home).
