I cannot remember a year over the past 14 where both the savings were as steep for so many brands (just about all of them), and in which the sales began so early. We’re talking before November even began!

With that said, it just means there are more choices to make if indeed we do want to take advantage of the savings on items we know we want, and it can become quite overwhelming

My approach is the same as it is throughout the entire year:

  • Keep an on-going list of what my wardrobe, home, beauty/skincare, etc. are lacking (or will need in the case of an auto-replenishment)
  • Save everything I can on KarmaNow so that I am alerted when prices drop
  • Have a clear budget
  • Prioritize my list based on what to purchase if they go on sale.
  • Once I decide on what to buy, start at Rakuten first to see if any rebates are available.
  • Choose one day to shop (during this holiday weekend), tend to the shopping and be done so I can relax and savor the holiday of Thanksgiving and dismiss all of the emails that will be popping into my box to try and grab my attention.

Honestly, I won’t be doing too much shopping this coming weekend because with all of the sales (okay, most of them) becoming available early, I picked up a few things throughout the month of November – a piece of luggage, linen pajamas, and some details for my home projects, as some items sold out quickly (but not many, thankfully).

With that said, it’s helpful to be subscribed to the newsletters of our favorite brands. Granted, they can become annoying at times, but during these times of great savings, if we know we trust that brand, we get to save quite a bit of cash on something we knew would purchase eventually.

Okay, enough about how to approach the sales and let’s talk about the sales I have found below.

Organized by categories, I went to as many of the brands I could that are trusted by TSLL, loved by TSLL and regularly shopped and shared here on TSLL each Friday on the This & That post. From favorite French candles, clothing brands, travel sites, etc. And while this list is long, it could easily be longer, so essentially, this post is a reminder to go to your personal lists, then visit those brands (or search them online), and compare the prices you find. I wouldn’t be surprised if the discounts available today drop even more steeply as we step into Sunday and Monday.

And before we begin, I cannot forget to remind about TSLL’s sales:

This past summer I gave a tour of my living room, and one significant change was the addition of this television. It has been a wonderful change to my television viewing experience, but also when I am not viewing the tv as it provides aesthetics appealing to the eye and the décor of the room rather than being a black rectangle on the wall.

Make sure you purchase a newer model so that you have anti-reflection as that is one component that ensures you never have glare no matter what type of natural light streams into your room.

I have these on Norman and Nelle’s harnesses, in my purse, and in my luggage. An inexpensive way to bring a priceless peace of mind, and now a great savings is available.

The meditation app I use each morning is Headspace. I know that there are a lot of quality apps in this field, so definitely seek out the site you prefer as they may have some savings as well, but I can speak confidently about my experience with Headspace. Since around 2017, I have been using the app every single day (first I had the opportunity to use it for free as being an educator, Headspace gifted it to teacher, but now I pay an annual subscription and consider it part of my health insurance – a must-have). Learn more about my experience with meditating in the post below.

That’s it for now. Rest assured, I know there are more sales to be found, but hopefully this year’s post from TSLL gave you some savings opportunities on brands you can trust to support living and savoring your simply luxurious life all the more.

Thank you for stopping by today and wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. And on Saturday, don’t forget to support your local independent small businesses! I’ll be at my local bookshop. ☺️📚

  1. Beautiful list! Thank you for the Hartmann alert…when my sister and I were growing up our mother got us all three the tweed suitcases and I saved up for the cosmetic case! What a joy they added to leaving and arriving. The heavy structure (and no wheels) on the old styles became impractical over the years, but my daughter and I still take two small ones on road trips just for fun, and its magical pulling them from the trunk. It would be so magnificent to travel now with a tweed Hartmann…you’d really see your bag on the carousel! I also love the Mansur Gavriel zip cosmetic case, it looks perfect as a pencil/lipstick/what-have-you for one’s handbag.
Another site on sale is Dent’s gloves…I pounced on a longer-length cashmere-lined pair, hopefully toasty and good for driving.
To everyone celebrating Thanksgiving, wishing you lots of warmth and love! -Liz

    1. Liz,

Thank you for the head’s up on the Dent gloves and I especially loved reading about your experiences and memories with Hartmann luggage. They have evolved so much over the decades. Happy to know they are well made and will last a long time! Have a delicious and love-filled Thanksgiving.
