When I think of leopard, I think of fall and winter wardrobes, but this spring, leopard is a trend for the warmer months as well.

And if you happen to be someone who already has leopard in their closet, start pulling it out or placing it into your spring capsule wardrobe with some simple pairings, as it will be perfect for the current season and upcoming summer.

Think silk and satin, even linen-blends, as seen in some of the tops I shopped at the bottom of the post. The most prevalent street style image I found and included in today’s Style Inspiration post of leopard for warmer months was pairing a just-below-the-knee skirt with a simple tee. A little high, a little low, a mix of textures and a whole lotta signature style.

And the good news is, you can keep this trend for the fall. In other words, it’s an all-season item that can be mixed and matched for years. Invest well, know your style and have some fun with leopard this season.

  1. The leopard printed skirt or dress definitely belongs to my capsule wardrobe. The leopard print was last year’s hit but I foresee its domination this year too. I loved the last look, the combination of silk long skirt with a very feminine bow belt with a stylish black top. Very elegant look.

  2. Thanks for the inspiration, Shannon! Leopard is my signature style accent. It may just be a piece of my lingerie or an accessory, but I never leave my house without at least one leopard item. It makes me feel empowered and, quite frankly, it works like a neutral that can be effortlessly paired with black, brown, cream and, my favourite, red.

  3. I love leopard and have a wonderful leopard print cotton blouse, I plan to wear it this summer withwhite jeans. And perhaps a white matlasse skirt and jacket. I will look for more ways to up-date this look. This is Year 2 of shopping my closet, this will be a real capsule wardrobe stretcher.

  4. what a coincidence. Today is a gloomy cool spring day in NC, the kind that tends toward wearing black, head to toe, but instead, shopping in my closet, I pulled a leopard sweater to pair with black jeans. What a lift. And I have a leporde skirt in my closet, that I love in spring and fall. With red or emerald green, this print really does play the neutral.
