Sometimes you walk into a space and you are in awe of its design features, but you may not see how plausible they would be in your own home. Then you walk into a space as the one above, and the decor ideas abound in an unexpected, but upon seeing them in play make-complete-sense way. Such is the case with HGTV star Leanne Ford’s design project that started her rise to the national audience’s attention.
In her Schoolhouse Project located in Pittsburgh which was featured in Country Living, the entire home is full of inspiration, but it is the kitchen that caught my eye.
From the storage baskets underneath the floating island, the open shelving and the exposed beams as well as the cutting board countertops and farmhouse sink, oh, and don’t forget the mirrors on top of the tall cupboard to add more light and space, each simple, classic ideas to use in a variety of rooms around the home.
