Get organized, see Carrie Bradshaw live and satiate your inner-news junkie. Oh, and a pair of black boots that won’t break the bank . . .

I have been looking for an app that allows me to keep my to-do list on my phone, and most importantly, allows me to check off the tasks I complete. After all, that’s half of the satisfaction, right? is a free app that can sync with your calendar and contacts and gives you the option of using the microphone to dictate your to-dos. Simple and efficient. Perfect.

~The Commons of Pensacola

Mention Sarah Jessica Parker, and I’m all ears. Then follow that up by saying she’s on Broadway, and I am desperately searching for a way to get back to New York. Currently in previews, SJP and Blythe Danner star in Amanda Peet’s premiere play for the Broadway stage – The Commons of Pensacola. Officially beginning the week before Thanksgiving, the play runs through the end of January at the Manhattan Theater Club Stage at City Center. Revolving around the similar theme of a fallen ponzy scheme, Judith (Danner) is forced to downgrade from her luxurious New York life to a one room condo in Pensacola after her husband’s Wall Street scam makes headline news. Her daughter, played by Parker, ventures down to Florida to visit her, and the drama and comedy ensue. If you can go, please do, and tell me all about it.

~Enzo Angiolini ‘Deanja’ hidden wedge black boot

Always looking for a functional black boot for winter. Enzo Angiolini’s hidden wedge boot has just enough of a heel, but not too much. And at a great price ($113), certainly a staple to consider adding to your closet (brown and gray are available as well).

~Alpha House – Amazon original series

Even if you don’t follow politics religiously, you are no doubt aware of the gridlock between the two parties in D.C. So Amazon, who is following in Netflix footsteps, has created Alpha House, an original series to poke fun at the incessant drama and gamesmanship that seems to have America’s capitol by the throat. Starring John Goodman, Clark Johnson, Matt Malloy, and Mark Consuelos, all cast as Republican senators who rent a house together, the pilot episode (free to Prime members) sets the tone with likable characters who play the role the media has painted them to be – unwavering, resolute conservatives with no consideration for flexibility. Having had the opportunity to watch the pilot episode, if you enjoy a well-written comedy, have an interest in news or politics, you will thoroughly enjoy this new series which debuts November 15th. 1. Thank you for informing me on The Commons of Pensacola! I hadn’t heard a thing about it. I’m a train ride from the city, but I don’t get there as often as I’d like. The chance to see SJP is a pretty good reason to make the trip!

And I completely echo your sentiments on Any.Do, I’ve been using it for the last few months and it’s been so helpful. I love their little rewards program, too – getting a free Starbucks for completing my to-do list is a great win/win!

  2. I love Any.Do too – keeps me on the straight and narrow – I especially like the way you can move items around easily. Didn’t know about the free Starbucks though! Thanks
