Released in August, best-selling author Brené Brown is back with a new book Rising Strong. Returning after her über successful book Daring Greatly which encouraged vulnerability in order to achieve, she details in her new book that even when we are brave, we will be knocked down from time to time and it is in the rising up from the fall that is essential. ~French Accents: Farmhouse French Style for Today’s Home by Anita Joyce

~recipe for Salted Dark Caramel and Chocolate Tart~
The week has been plentiful and wonderful in many ways, and it has been stressful in others unexpectedly. Regardless, the weekend is here, and that is certainly something to revel in. I still am stupefied that October has arrived, yet tickled that is has. I am thinking that such an occasion calls for a jaunt to the local nurseries to pick up a few chrysanthemums for the front porch and maybe a trying out of hot chocolate at a local bakery. After all, the weatherman is calling for a few brief showers, and I love nestling in on such occasions at a small out-of-the-way table and losing all track of time.
Whatever your weekend is calling for, I hope you are able to make it a reality. After all, it is when we find time for the simple pleasures that life begins to resemble the life we always wished we could experience on an everyday basis. The good news it, it is possible every day. And that is what I call simply luxuriously living. Enjoy and until Monday, joyeux vendredi!
